Butterworms are the larvae of the Chilean moth.  They are fast becoming the favorite snack for many reptiles and birds.  Butterworms are high in fat and have twice the calcium content as other feeder insects. They have a fruity smell that  reptiles and birds find appealing.

If stored between 42 and 45 degrees in a dry organic substrate (saw dust,

wheat bran) ,butterworms will live 4-6 months with minimal loss.
